Resilient Design

Overview:

This self-directed learning journey was for all company employees to help them learn vocabulary about climate change, the company’s commitment to reducing the carbon footprint of projects, and the fundamentals of carbon footprints in the built environment. The second installment of this learning journey would focus on the best practices for implementing the sustainable design in various project phases, as well as barriers to implementation, stakeholder roles, and resource libraries.

Role:

I contributed to the research phase of this project as a collaborator and content editor. I Interviewed SMEs about topics such as embodied carbon, site positioning, and material health. I edited the survey responses for clarity and conciseness and followed up with SMEs to further clarify.  I collaborated with the graphics team and L&D team in designing infographics and a scenario-based game to help learners apply the content in real design project situations.

Research and Development:

I collaborated on finding internal SMEs and researching game types and writing scenarios for the game. I also managed the internal communication site which had resources, case studies, and tools for the learners to utilize.
